Wine Story
Located in the Gard department, on the right bank of the Rh?ne River and a few kilometers away from the village of Ch?teauneuf du Pape, the vineyards date back from the first millenium, on the ?Cesar Camp?, where the Roman legions used to sit and watch the Rh?ne River. The terroirs from the Laudun area enjoy exceptional conditions resulting in the production of fresh, spicy and juicy reds.
Bernard Magrez, born 1936, is a French wine magnate who predominantly owns Bordeaux wine estates, including Ch?teau La Tour Carnet, Ch?teau Pape Cl?ment, Ch?teau Fombrauge and Clos Haut-Peyraguey but also a large number of wine producing properties in other French wine regions and other countries, including Spain, Portugal, Chile, Argentina, Japan, Morocco and California.
