Winemaking
Vines carefully selected from the top part of one of our oldest vineyards planted in 1925 low hill of 600 meters altitude. Yields go from 1500 Kg/ha to 2000 kg/ha. Coming from sandy and a bit clay soil.
Manual harvested in small cases of 15 kg and grapes pass through a selection table to avoid bunches not according with our quality. This wine was fermented with 50% full clusters in well-seasoned vertical barriques and then transferred to new French oak barrels for malolactic fernentation, then place the wine in new French oak barrels for about 13 months for ageing.
Tasting Notes
Deep red color with violet hints. Very powerful on the nose, red fruits such as blackberries, raspberries and plums, incense, black pepper, forest and mineral touches. Licorice, smoke and balsamic aromas are also present. Full on the palate, with a lot of body, a long-lasting aftertaste in which the red fruits mix with the smoke. Perfect balance with very fine tannins.
